Why do most shared reading plans fizzle out?
Usually not because the plan was wrong. One of you misses a day, then the other feels awkward bringing it up, then the streak that was supposed to hold you accountable just quietly stops. Reading alone does not fix that either: nothing changes about whether you actually show up. What is missing is not more content. It is a reason to show your own answer before you have seen theirs.
How does the locked-answer mechanic work?
It's the whole idea. Once both of you have read the chapter, you each write your own answer first, no reading theirs beforehand, no shaping your response around theirs. The moment you submit, your partner's reflection unlocks, and so does yours for them.
That order is what keeps the answers honest instead of performative. It's why this isn't a feed, a comment thread, or anything either of you is writing for an audience. It's a room for exactly two people.
